Описание к видео 👇Part 2 - How Trauma Lives In Your Body

Many people think healing is only about understanding things in your head.

But your whole body holds memory, not just one corner of your brain.

When something overwhelms you and there is no safe person to help you process it, your nervous system stores the unfinished reaction in your muscles, breath and posture.

That is why you can "know" something is over, yet still feel like it is happening right now.

Your body is not your enemy.

It is trying to protect you with alarms that are simply set too high.

Some guidance in this second part 👇

1. Start tracking where feelings live in your body.
When you feel anxious, where do you notice it first? Chest, throat, stomach, hands, or jaw?

Naming locations helps you see that this is a body state, not your whole identity.

2. Notice your default responses. Do you tend to fight, argue, and get loud?
Do you freeze, go blank, or stare at your phone?
Do you run, leave the room, or change the subject?

These are survival patterns your body learned, not personal failures.

3. Experiment with tiny physical shifts. Unclench your jaw. Lower your shoulders. Lengthen your exhale. Put a hand on your chest or your belly. Gentle body signals tell your nervous system, "We are here, we are safe enough to pause."

4. Respect your triggers without letting them rule you. When something sets you off, you do not have to shame yourself. You can say, "This part of me is remembering."

Then you step away, breathe, and come back when you are more grounded.

Some examples 👇

You walk past a doorway and smell something from a bad memory.

Your heart races, your hands tingle and you want to snap at whoever is near you.

Instead of calling yourself crazy, you say, "My body remembers."

You take three slow breaths, feel your feet on the floor, and remind yourself of the date and where you are.📌

You get a message from someone who used to control you. Your stomach flips, and you suddenly feel small.

You notice the urge to say yes to anything they ask. This time, you put your phone down, place a hand on your chest, and say out loud, "I am an adult now. I can answer later, or not at all." 📌

You are about to have a difficult talk with a loved one. In the past, you would freeze. Today, you plan ahead: a glass of water beside you, feet flat, a sentence ready like, "If I get overwhelmed, I may need a short break, but I want to keep talking."

You give your body a map instead of leaving it alone. 📌

In this second part, you are learning to include your body in the conversation.

Healing is not just thinking differently. It is helping your whole system feel safer, one signal at a time.

A reader's question: When you get upset, where in your body do you feel it first, and what is one gentle signal you could send that part this week to say, "I am here with you"?

Affirmation: My body is not my enemy. It is a loyal record of what I survived, and I can teach it new signals of safety.

Say it with me: I notice my body, I respect its alarms, and I choose small, steady steps that help it feel safer over time.
