March 12, 2022 - Sailing Reverie Storm Update

Quick view of our storm preparedness on the West Coast of Florida.

We are in Terra Ceia Bay and we have winds coming from the south southwest gusting at 60 MPH. It has pushed a lot of water into the main basin down.

Our sailboat Reverie is taking it like a champ. as part of our storm readiness we have enough lines on the sailboat to be able to make adjustments from the dock, so I was able to pull the bow to Starboard to keep our dinghy from rubbing against the dock.

Should be over in a couple more hours.

Being ready for storms is all part of living on a sailboat or owning a sailboat. You just plan ahead and do the best you can to be ready to weather the storm.
