Here are the last 25 minutes of a broadcast of an edition of The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, featuring guest-host David Letterman. Johnny's usual sidekick Ed McMahon is on board tonight; appearing within this show were Diahann Carroll, future show host Jay Leno, musical guest Steve Goodman, and George Gobel (whose segment is not seen in this excerpt). Here, David only hints at what's to come in the coming decades.
