Join me for a walk around the delightful town centre of Barnard Castle, one of the most historic in County Durham, home to a collection of spectacular landmarks from centuries-old castle ruins to one of the country's largest museums!

On our walk around Barnard Castle, we pass a number of interesting landmarks, including the ruins of Barnard Castle, Barnard Castle Methodist Church, Galgate, The Three Horseshoes Hotel, the former home of Roderick Murchison, Barnard Castle Town Fountain, Horse Market, Market Place, The Witham, The Golden Lion pub, the former site of Humphrey's Clockmakers, the old King's Head (where Charles Dickens stayed in 1838), the Butter Market, St. Mary's Church, St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Bowes Museum.
