Gilgit: Nasalo Festival Held at GB Scouts Community Center

The festival was attended by the Commander of FCNA, the Chief Secretary of Gilgit-Baltistan, as well as individuals from various walks of life and local residents.

During the festival, the ancient tradition of Gilgit-Baltistan, the Nasalo Festival, was specially highlighted.

In this tradition, animals are slaughtered, and the meat is dried and preserved for the winter season.

This practice reflects the centuries-old local way of life and plays an important role in preserving the region’s cultural heritage.

Additionally, stalls showcasing pro ducts made by women through sewing, embroidery, and other artisanal training were set up at the Scouts Community Center.

Participants described the festival as highly beneficial for promoting culture and emphasized the importance of continuing such programs regularly
