Welcome to Platty's one minute mod tips, today we look magnets for battery doors. Its not a new thing, but if someone is new to modding then this might give them some ideas they might want to try.
If you are modding electric blasters, then it's likely you'll need to get into the battery door more easily than getting out a screwdriver for the stock screw. Often people will be using lipo batteries which you might need to get to quickly, or to swap out in a game, or for storage.
The most common option is to go for extended thumb screws from Worker etc, but depending on where the battery compartment is or is you want clean lines, then a thumb screw sticking out might not be what you want.
We've found that using a pair of small magnets works well, one in the body of the blaster and another in the battery door. We chose some small ones that meant we only had to drill a little in the blaster and the door where the stock screw went. Then its just supergluing the magnets into the two holes and waiting a few minutes for the glue to dry and its good to go.
This could be scaled up using bigger, or more magnets depending on how big a better you need to keep in etc.
