Raising Community Resilience in Greater Manchester

Residents of Higher Folds and Edgeley, Manchester aspire for a better, climate-resilient future for their communities.

Together, they completed close to 500 surveys, participated in focus groups and interviews to inform community resilience assessments and help guide local action for heat and flood resilience.

With support from Z Zurich Foundation and Zurich UK, the Resilience for Communities program will fund resilience solutions with partners in each community. Investing in the whole cycle of resilience-building, from community engagement to coalition building and project implementation, we’re working to deliver solutions and build lasting efforts toward a safer, more just future.
