Today's topic serves as an introduction to Symfony 2, its philosophy, the people behind it, and its installation. We then begin exploring a couple of the primary components found in the standard edition of the framework, such as: Routing, Controllers, Templating, Doctrine.

Finally, we have a look at how it's done in other projects and follow-up on: Validation, Services, Testing, Migrations and close up with some more advanced routing.
