WooCommerce Buy One Get One (BOGO) is a promotional strategy where customers can get one product for free or at a discount when they buy another product at the original price.

BOGO can be applied to the same or different products, and it helps store owners increase sales.

This video will discuss the steps to creating WooCommerce BOGO discounts for products from the same category.

Since WooCommerce does not have a BOGO feature, we can use a discount plugin like “Discount Rules for WooCommerce - Pro” to create our BOGO offers.

“Discount Rules for WooCommerce” allows you to create automatic and advanced discount types, such as BOGO deals, bulk discounts, bundle discounts, smart coupons, and more.

BOGO can be applied in two variations: Buy X, Get X for the same products and Buy X, Get Y for different products from the same or different categories.

To create a BOGO deal for products from the same category:
1. Activate the “Discount Rules” plugin in your WooCommerce dashboard.
2. Go to “Woo Discount Rules” under WooCommerce.
3. Choose the discount type as “Buy X Get Y.”
4. Filter specific categories to apply the BOGO discount.
5. Select “Get Y Discount Type” in the discount section as “Buy X Get Y- Categories.”
6. Select “Mode of Apply.”
7. Set minimum and maximum buy quantities.
8. Set the get quantity and discount type.
9. Optionally add conditions and save the rule.
