►Lesson Description: In this lesson we take a look at the Cobol programming language -- a language over 65 years old! The COBOL is designed to be a verbose and self-documenting language with many keywords. The language itself also promotes a very structured programming environment. COBOL itself has been evolving and is still used and maintained in various domains in government and infrastructure where mainframe computers exist. It was interesting to try out COBOL, and I wonder if the 'english like' language will pick up again in programming languages. Anyways, give this a try, perhaps in compiler explorer, so you can say you've written code in one of the oldest programming languages! As always, let me know what resources/tools I missed that others should know about in the comments below!
