"Claves nr.1: Afoxé" is the first of a series of piano pieces inspired by Brazilian traditional rhythmic patterns. The first one is inspired by the afoxé traditions of the Northeastern part of Brazil.

The piece was performed at the 2024 Doctoral Gala Concert of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre by the amazing pianist and friend @Ilana Makarina ! Paldies Ilana !!
