In Session: Leading the Judiciary - Episode 41: Curiosity Can Transform Your Leadership

Episode 41: Research shows that heart-centered curiosity differs from intellectual curiosity and leads to a better understanding of ourselves and others, and to happier and more productive organizations. Scott Shigeoka’s book Seek: How Curiosity Can Transform Your Life and Change the World, based on his work at UC Berkeley’s Greater Good Science Center, provides strategies for developing curiosity and explains why it is important to do so.

Scott has taught at the University of Pennsylvania and the University of California Berkeley, and currently teaches courses on innovative design at the University of Texas at Austin.

In Session: Leading the Judiciary is an audio podcast designed to bring cutting-edge thinking about public and private-sector leadership to the attention of judiciary executives. Each episode includes a conversation with one or more thought leaders whose research and expertise are relevant to the work of executives in the federal courts.
