迦楼羅（かるら） / 池上眞吾作曲　2017 5 21 あけび箏乃會 KOTO Concert ザ・コンサートホールにて

仏教の守護者「迦楼羅」は口から火を吹き、竜を捕って食うと言われ、「天狗」はこの「迦楼羅」の変形を伝えたものであるといわれる。
第一章では大空を行く「迦楼羅」をイメージし、二章では田園風景の中を身軽に飛び回る「天狗」の姿、昔話では悪役に回りながらも何か哀愁を感じさせるそのキャラクターを描いてみた。
作曲者ノート

Garuda, the Buddhist guardian, is said to breathe fire from his mouth and capture and eat dragons, and Tengu is said to be a variation of Garuda.

In the first chapter, I imagined Garuda flying through the sky, while in the second chapter I depicted Tengu flying nimbly through rural landscapes, a character who exudes a certain melancholy despite being a villain in old tales.
