Rongmei Cultural Dance ||Women Society, Konthoucham

Konthoujam Baptist Women Society present a Rongmei traditonal dance on 25th December 2021.
As a tradition, the church organizes traditional dances competition every Christmas celebration amongst different departmental units of the church viz, youth, men society, women society, Sunday school senior, junior etc, in order to keep the rich tradition of the Rongmei alive and to equip the present- day youth conversant with cultural dances and folksongs of various genres.

Konthoujam Baptist church Imphal is a Rongmei community Church in the midst of indigenous faiths.
The church comprises of 75 households.
It is one of the oldest churches in Imphal valley.
The church is situated 3km from Imphal international airport and 1.5km from Imphal railway station in Imphal West district Manipur Northeast India.

Rongmei, a cognate tribe of naga, belongs to Tibeto-burman race. The nagas are found in northeastern part of India and Myanmar.
