In a homage to the Hollywood sign, giant letters have been installed on the slopes of Dundee Law to promote the Dundee Summer Bash Streets Festival from Thursday 14th to Sunday 24th July.

Events include pop-up outdoor comic museum, the Dennis fun-run, workshops, talks, film screenings and street performances more details in the link in comments.

Dundee is home to publisher DC Thomson who print the comics: Beano and Dandy.

The sign is 6 metres high x 38 metres long and can be seen from Fife. It is a collaboration between Dundee City Council, Visit Scotland and publishers DC Thomson.

Cruise ship Azamara Quest visited Dundee on the 17th and 18th of July coinciding with the final day of The Open in St Andrews on the 17th of July.
