Today March 21, 2025 as we enter the Bacon County Magistrate & Probate Court to file a Warrant Application against Special Agent Trent McKinnon for alleged violation of his oath of office and theft, we informed the clerk that we are here to file a Warrant Application.

She immediately inquired if we had a police report, and we clarified that a police report is not required to file a warrant application, although we do have two police reports in this folder, notice in accordance with O.C.G.A. 17-4-40 (b)(1) (1) If application is made for a warrant by a person other than a peace officer or law enforcement officer and the application alleges the commission of an offense against the penal laws, the judge or other officer shall schedule a warrant application hearing as provided in this subsection unless the person accused has been taken into custody by a peace officer....
{𝐍𝐎𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐄 𝐈𝐒 𝐃𝐎𝐄𝐒 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐇𝐀𝐕𝐄 𝐓𝐎 𝐇𝐀𝐕𝐄 𝐀 𝐏𝐎𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐄 𝐑𝐄𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓} if any magistrate court refuse to allow you to file a warrant application because you don't have a police report, then they are in violation of their oath of office, you should file a complaint with the JQC and call the police to start an investigation

The clerk then stated that she needed to consult with the judge. Shortly thereafter, the Bacon County Magistrate & Probate Judge Joe Boatroght appeared and asked what he could do for us, addressing us as "boys." I considered responding to this remark, as "boy" is considered a racially insensitive term.

As Judge Boatright explained the law and procedures, I attempted to speak and he raised his finger and said, "I am talking to him." I employed diplomacy and nodded my head, saying "yes" as he inquired if I was the gentleman's lawyer, to whom he was pointing. Internally, I was agitated and inclined to respond harshly, given the prior disagreement between Judge Boatright and myself, compounded by his background as a former police officer.

He then reiterated his statement, saying, "You boys meet around the corner." It is unbelievable that Judge Boatright will soon be receiving paperwork. We must ensure accountability for effective change.

Note that Judge Boatright apparently disregarded the statement of facts, which clearly stated a violation of his oath of office, a felony, rather than theft by taking, a misdemeanor.

Judge Browning did tranfer the case to superior court.
