Did you know The Shaggs' lead singer and guitarist, Dot Wiggin, recently made a solo comeback album, called "Ready! Get! Go!" -? It was amazing. In an incredible story, I met her and her sisters at a Shaggs Tribute, where my friends and I found out she still wrote songs. We offered to record her songs for her, and formed the Dot Wiggin Band, and we recorded her solo album with Dot and toured it with her (and later on, with her sister, Shaggs guitarist and vocalist Betty Wiggin, too!). We made an brilliant album with a lot of musicians, including Laura Cromwell on drums. It's kooky! Check it out. Share with your Shaggs family. Her solo album features never before recorded Shaggs songs that I got to record with her on piano and fun instruments. It is called Ready! Get! Go!, and was released on Jello Biafra's label, Alternative Tentacles. Here is the album promo video for all you fans:
