West Edmonton Mall's Galaxyland's current space theme may have been in place since the mid-1990's, but it was conceived a decade prior... in the early 1980's.

Original concept art plans for the park's expansion reveal that the Fantasyland theme of the time was meant to be only a part of the amusement park theme... there was far more impressive imagery imagined.
