In nursing homes, elderly individuals have diverse physical conditions; some can walk independently, some require walkers, and others need assistance from caregivers. Therefore, we designed a multifunctional mobility chair to address the varied needs of the elderly, including functions such as a regular chair, wheelchair, walker, bedside mobility aid, and toilet assistance.

We developed this product because the physical conditions of elderly individuals often change rapidly. They may be able to walk one day but need a walker the next. In the later stages of life, they need to adapt to various assistive devices, and they prefer familiar products over learning new ones. Thus, we aimed to provide a product that meets different needs, reducing their anxiety about learning new devices.

Our design focuses on addressing the diverse mobility needs of elderly individuals, providing convenience and safety. Compared to similar products, ours offers unique multifunctionality, catering to the different stages of elderly life and thereby enhancing their overall quality of life.
