Named one of the tax world’s 50 most influential individuals, Alexandra Readhead helps developing country governments collect taxes from multinational mining, oil and gas companies. As a technical advisor to the Intergovernmental Forum on Mining she leads a long-term collaboration with the OECD to provide solutions to some of the most pressing tax challenges faced by resource-rich countries.

She’s worked for years in Africa, where she’s constantly reminded how crucial taxes are to fund vital public services. As an advisor to the government of Sierra Leone, she was part of the leadership team that set up the national emergency response to the 2014 Ebola outbreak. A Sir General John Monash scholar, Alexandra obtained a Master of Public Policy from Oxford University, and a Bachelor of Laws from Monash University.
