Vincennes, Indiana: All the Hidden Places

Описание к видео Vincennes, Indiana: All the Hidden Places

Vincennes is a mysterious, beautiful, quiet place, along the Wabash River, that never ceases to amaze me with its feeling of presence. It is clearly, one of my favorite places to go and clear my mind.

But it’s more than just a place to unwind! There’s an ancient Native American burial mound. A city built by the French as part of “New France”. The largest battlefield monument in the United States. Former home of President William Henry Harrison, and 1800’s era buildings. The oldest government building in the United States. The oldest Catholic parish and University in Indiana. The cathedral has an underground crypt that holds the first four bishops of Vincennes. Two world class museums and a beautiful waterfront.

This is Vincennes, Indiana, the historic capitol of the Northwest Territory, a place where you can feel the past, legends, and is one of Indiana’s absolute must see’s!

ADDENDUM: I’ve been informed that a handicap ramp has been installed at the George Rogers Clark Memorial! This allows everyone to enjoy this amazing structure!
