Siskel & Ebert - The Untouchables (1987)

Siskel and Ebert reviews an American biological crime drama film, "The Untouchables". Starring Kevin Costner, Sean Connery, Robert DeNiro, and the others in June 3, 1987. It is based on the book of the same name published in 1957, and also based on the TV series (1959-1963) as well. Both of them made a split-vote when Gene really enjoyed the film a whole lot, especially Connery's performance, and he considered it as one of the best movies of 1987. Roger didn't like it that much, and thought it was a disappointment and found a character of Ness seems lacking, as well as Robert De Niro as Al Capone was very routine. Gene, on the other hand, found him to be sweet and touching. I totally agreed with Gene, I really enjoyed the movie as well. It's probably my favorite detective 80s film. Thumbs way up for me on "The Untouchables".
