‘Iisang Nasyon, Iisang Aksyon: Tapusin ang OSAEC Ngayon’ Summit 2024 (Speech) 09/16/2024

"I have said it before and I will say it again. This Administration will do everything. We will spare no effort to combat these heinous crimes against our children," President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. delivered when he graced the 'Iisang Nasyon, Iisang Aksyon: Tapusin ang Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) Ngayon' Summit 2024 at the New World Makati Hotel in Makati City on September 16, 2024.

The President highlighted the Administration's actions including the creation of the Presidential Office for Child Protection (POCP) and the implementation of key legislative measures like the Anti-OSAEC Act and the Expanded Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2022.

He also pointed to the success of law enforcement which has rescued over 1,000 victims and arrested 138 suspects since 2022.

The Chief Executive reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting victims and ensuring justice for perpetrators, underscoring that protecting children is a top priority of his Administration.

"To our victims and survivors, your stories continue to push us in the right direction. Your extraordinary courage motivates us to do better," the President emphasized.

Furthermore, he urged various government agencies, local government units (LGUs) and communities to work together to raise awareness and report incidents of child exploitation.

"Sa Bagong Pilipinas inaaruga at pinoprotektahan natin ang ating mga anak, sa Bagong Pilipinas binibigyan natin ng pag-asa ang mga biktima, sa Bagong Pilipinas sinisigurado natin na mananagot ang may sala. Sama-sama po nating tapusin ang OSAEC," President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. concluded in his speech.
