Renton, WA is one of the areas that is still relatively affordable and close to Seattle, WA (great for commuting to Bellevue as well - right at the bottom of Lake Washington.

This conversation was inspired by a client of mine who wanted to buy a split level home and divide the lower floor into a separate unit.

Is this a good idea?
