Ade Olusayo died on the 12th of August 2008 of Hypertension and Diabetes complications. He was buried three days after on the 15th of August 2008.

Olusayo started music in the late 60s. He played with lots of artists including Baba Sala Alawada. He later formed Ade Jacob Juju Band but
changed name a few years later to Ade Olusayo after he launched his own set of musical instrument in the early 80s.

It was insinuated then that a popular song he made in the 90s, ‘Kenkeleje Ara won ni won n se’ was a jab at King Sunny Ade.

President Ade Olusayo was a well to do artist who built houses for himself and even others including his mother, another for his brother, yet another for his manager.

Olusayo played at grade A shows and Infact, upon Commander Ebenezer Obey’s retirement in 1991, he was the preferred choice of artist at mega Social clubs and societies such as Lagos Country Club, Island Club, Ikoyi Club and Yoruba Tennis Club.

Olusayo was from Ibadan and an obvious feature with him is that he was a power dresser.
May his soul Rest In Peace.
