A 3rd issue Colt Dectective Special revolver with nickel finish made in 1973.
The Detective Special is a 6 shot 38 Special with a 2 inch barrel. The 3rd Issue differers from earlier versions in that it has a shrouded ejector rod and a shorter grip frame.
All 3rd issue guns were in 38 Special with either blue or nickel finish.
