বেরোবি (রংপুর বেগম রোকেয়া বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়) ছাত্রদলের নবগঠিত কমিটির বিরুদ্ধে উত্থাপিত বিভিন্ন মিথ্যা অভিযোগের প্রতিবাদে এই সংবাদ সম্মেলনটি আয়োজন করা হয়। ছাত্রদলের পক্ষ থেকে সংগঠনের নেতারা অভিযোগগুলো দৃঢ়তার সাথে খণ্ডন করেন এবং এই কমিটি গঠনের প্রেক্ষাপট ও সাংগঠনিক অবস্থান ব্যাখ্যা করেন। সংবাদ সম্মেলনের মূল উদ্দেশ্য ছিল নতুন কমিটি নিয়ে তৈরি হওয়া সকল বিভ্রান্তির অবসান ঘটানো এবং তাদের রাজনৈতিক ও সাংগঠনিক লক্ষ্য স্পষ্টভাবে তুলে ধরা।
