Popeye 2 (Game Boy) Playthrough - NintendoComplete

A playthrough of Activision's 1993 license-based platformer for the Nintendo Game Boy, Popeye 2.

Is it just me, or does this game feel suspiciously like Super Mario Land? In this sequel to a Japanese-only Game Boy game, as Popeye, you eat spinach and punch lots of stuff (enemies and brick walls) to save your loved ones. There is not much original here, but it's all well done, making for a rock-solid Game Boy platformer.

Does Popeye's sprite remind anyone else of Quagmire after discovering internet porn?

I don't really have much more to say about it. I certainly enjoyed it, but it's pretty straightforward, and doesn't give too much to talk about. If you loved the cartoon, you'll probably love this too.
