There are NO RULES for special sound chart 7.
Phonics Special Sounds Chart 8 RULES:
"ou" in out- usually comes in the middle of a word.
"ow" in owl- usually comes before a "n" or "l" at the end of a word.
"oi" in coin- usually comes in the middle of a word.
"oy" in boy- usually comes at the end of a word.
"oo" in tooth- exceptions to this special sound are: flood, blood, door, floor. (students will have to memorize these words)
