Free public lecture on "MANDALAS: Symbols of the Soul" given at the Brisbane Theosophical Society on 3 April, 2024

TOPIC
Symbolism is all around us - both in the exoteric and the esoteric forms. It is a way to express and experience that which cannot be described in words and images alone – the inexpressable. The Mandala, a Sanskrit word for Circle, is both complete within itself, as well as containing all other symbols. Join us as we dive deep to understand the meaning of Mandalas personally, universally and experientially by meditating upon this form according to Jung, the Alchemists, Raja Yoga, Kabbalah and traditional cultures around the world.

THE SPEAKER
Promotions and Office Manager for the Brisbane Theosophical Society, Julia Sawyer was born into a lineage of Theosophists and Rosicrucians. She has studied and practiced Yoga for over 20 years, trained in innumerable healing modalities including Reiki and Kinesiology, and travelled the world to sites of spiritual significance both independently in Europe, Central America and India; as well as touring with the Rosicrucians throughout Italy and Egypt; and working and training in ashrams with living gurus in the Bahamas, France and the Black Forest.
