This video demonstrates how to install/apply ERS Wrap™ Removable and Reusable Industrial Blanket Insulation to a flange when the adjoining insulation is of a different diameter. ERS Wrap™ is a flexible, multipurpose insulation that can be installed by anyone who can operate scissors and cable ties.


Why is insulating a flange important?
Any exposed flange is a significant heat loss, representing approximately one and half feet of exposed in-line pipe. All flanges not insulated are costing you MONEY!



This method is often referred to as the "build" up method.


1. Wrap a narrow diameter ERS Wrap™ roll around the exposed side face of the flange using a narrow ERS Wrap™ until it is level with the exposed flange
2. Secure the built up portion of insulation using cable ties
3. Repeat process on the opposite exposed side of the flange
4. Wrap ERS Wrap™ Removable and Reusable Industrial Insulation Blanket flange cover around the insulation build up and exposed flange
