Mapping the Labyrinth: Plotting Your Novel with Kay Kenyon, Sunday, August 2, 2020, 9:30-11:30 AM Pacific Time. http://www.kittywumpus.net/blog/mappi...
An outline is one of your best tools for writing a novel, but how do you figure what happens, when, where, and to whom? How do you deal with plots when they go astray and how do you weave multiple plotlines together? With series, what can you leave for future books — and how do you set events up for those books?
Kay Kenyon is the author of over a dozen science fiction and fantasy novels. Her latest works comprise the historical fantasy Dark Talents trilogy beginning with At the Table of Wolves. Her science fiction books include The Entire and The Rose quartet (soon to come in a new edition!), Maximum Ice, and The Seeds of Time. Her other fantasy novels are A Thousand Perfect Things and Queen of the Deep. She has been nominated for the Philip K. Dick Award, the Endeavour Award, the John W. Campbell Award and has twice been nominated for the American Library Association Reading List Awards. Her short fiction has been published in dozens of anthologies and magazines as well as two collections, Dystopia: Seven Dark and Hopeful Tales and Worlds Near and Far.
Kay is a founding member of the Write on the River organization in Wenatchee, Washington, dedicated to nurturing writers from inspiration to publication. As well as teaching for Write on the River, Kay also often presents workshops at Pacific Northwest Writers Conference, Willamette Writers Conference and, in Edmonds Washington, Write on the Sound. She and her husband split their time between Wenatchee and Southern California, both desert environments which she claims is the best environment for story ideas.
Cat Rambo writes, reads, edits, and teaches from a remote location in the Pacific Northwest.
