Command & Conquer Generals is now available on Steam as part of The Ultimate Collection and apparently actually only available for purchase in the collection, but the collection is great value at $10 https://store.steampowered.com/bundle...
I played the game at 1600x1200 stretched to my 1920x1080 monitor and captured at that resolution so it cut off the bottom part of the game. I'll fix that if I make any more videos in Generals, but I wanted to get this video out today as a guide to some issues with the release.
Generals does not work out of the box now, since Windows no longer includes the old versions of DirectX. You can get the old DirectX versions in a pack here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downl...
You also need to delete a file dgbhelp.dll from the game directory.
