Montana family faces challenges getting special education services for autistic son

When it comes to special education in Montana, the state is falling short of national requirements for serving students with disabilities.

A family in the Flathead Valley reached out asking for our help after running into problems as they try to get their autistic child the care he needs.

After months, the Smith Valley School Board in Kalispell granted the Yandl family an early age waiver for LJ, their 5-year-old with stage three autism.
