Mysuru | A sensational daylight robbery has shocked Karnataka as armed robbers looted over 8.34 kg of gold and diamond jewellery worth nearly ₹10 crore from Sky Gold and Diamonds showroom in Hunsur, Mysuru district.

According to the complaint filed by shop owner Fatima Manjil, the robbery took place on Sunday afternoon when armed miscreants entered the showroom, held staff and customers at gunpoint, and fled with huge quantities of gold and diamond ornaments. The incident was fully captured on CCTV footage, which clearly shows the robbers threatening employees, forcing them to sit down, and hurriedly removing jewellery from display counters into bags.

Terrified customers, including a woman with a child, were seen cornered inside the shop during the robbery. Police have recovered vital clues including CCTV visuals, bike registration details, and a bag left behind at the scene.

To nab the accused, five special police teams led by the Deputy SP have been formed. Mysuru SP Vishnuvardhan personally visited the spot, questioned the staff, and reviewed the investigation. Police confirmed the robbers arrived on two bikes, and a suspicious car parked nearby is also under investigation.

Authorities have assured that the accused will be arrested soon as the investigation progresses.
