It seems a little strange to only now be posting this video to my channel, a different year to when it was first started, but you can’t speed up the seasons to make the plants grow.

If you have never grown them, or perhaps never seen them, then peonies have one of the most stunning flowers. Whilst this video is on perennial peonies the tree peonies are even more amazing, but so slow to produce flowers in the U.K.

In my mind I was just going to dig up the Peony in my garden and get the space ready for the planned patio.
I then got thinking that actually I still do want to keep the Peony, but given it’s age it would probably do much better if it was divided to only keep the strongest sections.
The variety in this video is ‘Karl Rosenfield’.

Tools required;
Sharp spade,
Border fork,
Clean and sharp secateurs,
Hand fork or trowel,
A bucket of water can also be used
