The 9 runs from Wolverhampton To Bridgnorth serving busy areas such as the City Of Wolverhampton, Merridale & Compton.
The route then heads out towards the border of Staffordshire just outside Pattingham.
The route then heads to a Hamlet of Trescott passing Garden Village such as Pavilions, Dolittles & Lealans.
The route then heads to Shipley to serve the popular 2 4 1 pub The Fox At Shipley.
Gardenlands is the last Garden Centre on this route on the Bridgnorth run.
The route comes down to Rudge Heath where there’s connections to Upper Ludstone, Claverley, Beckbury, Ackleton, Halfpenny Green, Bobbington & Chesterton Valley just located by The Royal Oak pub.
The route then travels down towards Wyken & Worfield By the Wheel Inn pub which is close to the Junction served by the 114 from Telford To Bridgnorth Via Kemberton & 116 To Weston Heath On Saturdays.
The route continues through Worfield passing Stanmore Industrial Estate Which was where Arriva Bridgnorth Depot used to be and then heads towards Danesford and approaches Bridgnorth Low Town For The Fosters Arms And climbs up the hill and terminates at High Town outside Sainsbury’s Supermarket.
The 9 used to continue beyond Bridgnorth to Telford.
The route went down the slope and heading into Cross Lane Head.
The route then approached the hamlet of Nordley then after Nordley the route continued from there towards Linley Brook then up a steep hill to Linley Green and then approached a small village called Broseley.
The route then served parts of Jackfield and then served Ironbridge the popular gorge town.
After Ironbridge the bus goes onto Dale End Car Park then goes through Coalbrookdale and approaches the steepest climb In Shropshire called Jiggers Bank.
Then the route comes to the top where Horsehay is located and then heads towards Dawley and comes to the backside of Telford.
When the route was operated by Telford Depot it used Wright Pulsars, Streetlites, Plaxton Centros, Optare Solo & Wright Cadets.
The 9 starts at Wolverhampton Bus Station and exits on either Ring Road St David’s via the slade rooms or Piper’s Row via The Grand Theatre it later heads into the city centre passing Wolverhampton Art Gallery the route then passes Beatties then down Darlington Street then along to Merridale and converge onto the Compton Road then into the village of Compton.
