Murano Glass Flamework by Alessandro Boscolo

Alessandro Boscolo is a third generation flame worker in Murano, Italy's glassmaking capital near Venice. To celebrate a year of my book Food of the Italian Islands, I commissioned a blown glass seashell from Alessandro in the colors from the book. The results are incredible! Watch as he crafts this gorgeous piece using flames and glass.
