Segmentation: Segmentation divides the logical memory into variable-sized segments based on the program's structure. Each segment represents a logical unit such as a function, procedure, or data structure. The OS maintains a segment table to map logical addresses to physical addresses. Segmentation provides flexibility in memory allocation but can lead to fragmentation.

Virtual Memory:
Virtual memory allows processes to use more memory than is physically available by using disk space as an extension of RAM. The OS manages virtual memory by swapping pages between RAM and disk as needed. Virtual memory enables multitasking and efficient memory allocation but can result in performance overhead due to disk I/O.

Memory Protection:
