DIY Adjustable Constant Current Electronic Load Tester || 10 Ampere DC Load Resistor Meter

If you just want to measure current output, you use a variable resistor load and an ammeter. Its a good idea to monitor voltage since the output voltage to the load will be reduced by the internal series resistance at high currents.

Battery discharge capacity is often measured one of two ways - constant amp discharge and constant resistance discharge. They differ because the battery changes voltage somewhat during discharge,

Basically you build a constant current/constant resistance load. You measure the voltage and current.
