Liberal Senator Alex Antic outlines points of opposition to Labor's proposed disinformation and misinformation bill which is to face the Senate before parliament concludes for the year.

"The Labor government introduced this bill several weeks ago, and in the last sitting week of parliament, shipped it to a committee which had seven days for submissions. Can you believe it?" Mr Antic told Sky News host Rita Panahi.

"This is one of the most expansive overhauls of free speech in this country probably.

"If this bill passes and we give bureaucrats and the courts the ability to tell us what is true and what's not online, then free speech in this country is dead."
