It is home to some of the greatest greats of modern American history including Michelle and Barack Obama, Michael Jordan and Oprah! It's a city rich in history and known for its gritty determination, a lake as big as a sea, world class food and entertainment and stunning architecture.

We had two days in the city and wanted to be certain that we weren't wasting our time commuting from our hotel to the attractions each day.

Holiday Inn Chicago River North is centrally located. it's just 12 minutes by foot from Chicago Riverwalk. This hotel is 1.2 mi from Willis Tower Skydeck. Breakfast comes at a fee: buffet between USD 5 and USD 10 for adults when you book direct. Room rates on non-event weekends range between $200 to $300 a night. The property includes an indoor pool, gym, coffee shop, bar and restaurant on property.

The rooms were comfortable and well appointmented. Next time, we'll be sure we visit on a weekend when pricing isn't so steep for events.
