A new scam is spreading across the country during the upcoming election season, and millions of people are at risk. The Election Commission has started distributing the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) Form to ensure that all eligible 18+ citizens are registered to vote—and to prevent illegal voters from entering the system.

But scammers are now misusing this process. After people submit their SIR forms, they are receiving calls from unknown numbers. The caller claims to be a Booth Level Officer (BLO) and says they need an OTP to verify your name in the voter list.

❗ THIS IS A SCAM!
The Election Commission or a BLO will never ask for an OTP for verification. The moment you share your OTP, scammers can access your personal data, banking details, and even drain your entire account. Protect yourself and your family—never share your OTP with anyone, no matter what they claim.
