For the longest time, I've dreamed of visiting Myanmar. A mysterious country that's been isolated from the rest of the world since British Independence in 1948. One of the few places remaining that hasn't become globalized due to its ongoing civil conflict (the longest in history). I planned my journey as well as I could and still... absolutely NOTHING went according to plan. Since Ngwesaung was no longer safe to visit and the buses had already left, I decided to explore the city of Yangon.

A heartfelt thank you to the locals who kept me safe with good advice.
