 This documentary investigates how X (formerly Twitter) has enabled the spread of targeted hate and abuse against LGBTI people in Poland. It reveals how X’s failure to invest in Polish-language content moderation, disregard for human rights responsibilities, and non-compliance with the EU Digital Services Act (DSA) have created an unsafe and hostile environment for the LGBTI community.

Featuring testimonies from affected individuals and supported by new data, the film highlights the platform’s role in normalizing homophobia and transphobia - through both negligence and a business model designed to amplify engagement at any cost.

 Despite growing evidence of tech-facilitated gender-based violence, X continues to under-resource trust and safety teams and ignore the real-world harm experienced by users of the platform. With only two Polish-speaking content moderators responsible for more than 5 million users, hateful content is routinely left unchecked.

Urgent reforms are needed to ensure that platforms like X no longer contribute to such abuse. This film calls for stronger accountability, better content moderation, and a rethinking of profit-driven algorithms that put vulnerable communities at risk.
