It's a trimmer and not a shaver. The Mi Beard Trimmer has an IPX7 certified washable body with 40 length settings for trimming your beard and hair. It weighs 270 grams and feels quite handy with a firm grip due the matte finish texture. The build quality of the MI trimmer is sturdy. Please note that I did not do a drop test for obvious reasons, but I am sure it can definitely take quite a few unintended falls.

I bought it from Flipkart for INR1299 without any discount during the COVID-19 lockdown. All protocols were followed while delivering the product.

Pros:
1. Rechargeable battery with up to 90 minutes of use
2. Sealed Body and IPX7 waterproof
3. Washable while trimming hair [nice feature as you do not need to pull the comb to brush off the stuck hair.]
4. 0.5 to 20 mm of trim levels through a central dial
5. The MI trimmer can be run directly with the charging cable plugged in with a normal mobile charger with USB 2.0 output port

Cons:
1. The 0.5 mm of minimum trim means it's not a shaver. In other words, you cannot get a clean shave from the MI beard trimmer. I guess that's thereason why it is sold as a trimmer and not a shaver.
2. The the power-in port is NOT micro USB or USB Type C, which is big downer...that too comimng from MI.
3. The charging cable is not to be lost or damaged. Without that, the trimmer is practically a junk.


Conclusion: Compared to other trimmers in the market in the INR2000 range, this is the best value for money.
