I have the Redmi Note 13 Pro here, and in today's video I'll be showing you how I remove all of the unwanted applications that Xiaomi has pre-installed on this device.

Not only will this work on the pro variant that I have here, but this will also work on the base model, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+, the Redmi Note 13R, and the others that share this same naming scheme.

The focus of this video will be using a program called Universal Android Debloater: Next Generation.

requirements
To begin, we first need to enable Developer Mode on our Redmi Note 13 Pro here.

Then, you will need to enable USB Debugging Mode
As this is required for the Universal Android Debloater program to connect to our device.

Once that has been enabled, we then need to download that debloater tool to our PC.

The ZIP file needs to be extracted to your PC

One last thing to note.
I recommend going ahead and installing a 3rd-party keyboard application to the device, as I have seen these disable the native keyboard in the past
Which will make it difficult to use without a keyboard installed.

And I am now connecting it to the PC with a USB cable.

As you can see here we have the Universal Android Debloater program opened on the PC
And we can refresh that connection after we connect the phone to the computer with that USB cable

If everything was done correctly, you should see a list of apps appear here.
These are the apps that are currently installed

We're only going to be doing minimal debloating here
So we'll be utilizing the Recommended list

You'll see them being removed one by one, as they are uninstalled from the default user account here.
You may even see the application icons disappearing from the home screen of your Redmi Note 13R

Now that the Universal Android Debloater program has gotten rid of the more difficult ones
I recommend going to your home screen to uninstall or delete any of them that have been left behind

We can do that by finding an application we don't use.
Performing a long-press gesture on it
And then tapping on the trash can icon
The apps you remove here will depend on if you want to use them anymore

for example, I don't have any desire to use themes on this device
so I will remove the theme store

I also don't need to use the mi store either
so I am happy to remove that one too

earlier I mentioned that you can debloat the Redmi Note 13 series directly on the device
instead of connecting to the PC and using the program I highlighted here.

I chose to do that method since it's quicker for me, but I understand that not everyone has a computer on hand for this
so I have previously done a video about an application called Canta
this app can be installed via GitHub or F-Droid and it does not require root access

it does, however, require the use of a program called Shizuku which does require some setup for it to work properly
so in an attempt to prevent this video from being longer than it needs to be, I'll link to that dedicated guide down in the video description below

the idea is the same though. you'll load up that application and then choose to uninstall the apps from the Recommended list

Xiaomi feels the need to pre-install so many applications on many of their smartphones and tablets
with them selling the hardware at such an affordable price, I can kind of understand why

some of these can be uninstalled easily from the home screen, while others are classified as system applications and tend to be much more difficult

thankfully though, the Universal Android Debloater program is able to remove these very quickly and as long as we select the recommended list, they tend to be removed quite safely as well
