There are not many videos on maintenance of a Case TR310 track loader. This one is where one of the remote oil filter rubber hoses developed a leak and blew almost all of the oil out of the engine. I had to shut it down in the middle of the woods to keep from locking up the engine. Big shout out to Preferred Rentals in Cullman Alabama for their help and support. I could not have got it fixed without their help. So, I found out that the remote oil filter was not necessary and that I could by pass it by simply removing the adapter plate from the engine then screw the filter directly on to the engine. The downside is you have to raise the cab up to change the oil filter. I also found out that you can not raise or tilt the cab with the bucket arms in the down position. I was lucky to have an excavator on site because I had to detach the hydraulic lines from the cylinders that raises the arms then use the excavator to raise the arms up into the locked position before I could raise or tilt the cab. Also, I did not have enough butt to tilt the cab so I had to use the excavator to do that too. Now, before I got to this point, I had taken out the radiator and the alternator trying to figure out what happened and to be able to stick my phone down in the space to video so I could have a look around because the space in the engine compartment is very limited. At any rate there are no maintenance videos on Youtube or any where else that I could find. So, I am making my own. After I got the oil filter moved, by the way you don't have to remove the radiator or anything else in order to by pass the remote oil filter, I went to the store to purchase new oil. So, I bought 3 gallon of 10w40 for diesel engines, one gallon of type 46 hydraulic oil and I was going to by a new oil filter but no one had one in stock. The bottom line is, I got it fixed, it took me all day to do it, and all is good! And That Is The Way It Is!
