Jonathan Sopel is an award-winning British journalist. He was the main presenter on BBC World News’ Global, chief political correspondent for BBC News, and the former BBC North America editor. In 2007, Sopel was voted ‘Political Journalist of the Year’ by the Public Affairs Industry and in 2013 he was shortlisted for ‘National Presenter of the Year’ by the Royal Television Society. Sopel has also authored a number of books on British and world politics.
