Bugs under your tarp! Best solution? Does a bug inner work with a tarp?

A tarp is only your outer layer: under it you will have a ground sheet, combined with a head net if necessary, or a bivvy bag, bug bivvy, nothing, or: a full bug inner, like the one DD Hammocks sent me for demo purposes. In this video: is it good to have one of those for combined use with a tarp? The short answer is: yes. But, not always. Having to set up your tarp so that it will fit over the inner will limit your pitching options. Maybe you will only get one viable option. But: if that is a good option, you will get something that is pretty close to a backpacking tent, that lacks the versatility of a tarp, but will work in most circumstances. A bit heavier than just a tarp, obviously.

And then, you can choose whether to bring the inner or not (not in winter, I can imagine) and you will be able to use your tarp for all these other applications that my channel is all about.
